ABOUT US
The school opened its gate to schoolers in 1910. Grade one class was opened with only few pupils while other classes were opened gradually until a complete primary school was established. Pupils occupied four temporary buildings built by local materials without pencil and papers and chalk available during those days.
The system of teaching and learning process was strictly enforced by teachers. Speaking Cuyono and other dialects were strictly discouraged. English speaking is a must to all schoolers. Anyone caught not speaking English inside the classroom received punishment. Geography, arithmetic, language and reading were some of the subjects taught.
It was in 1921 when a complete elementary school was opened. The first government school buildings built with two classrooms was the Gabaldon Building and a one-room building was constructed in 1959. There were several buildings to answer the classroom needs of pupils until 2009.
